Before you can start using Trine you need to verify your account. As a financial institution Trine is obligated to verify that you are who you say you are. This policy is due to a banking regulation commonly known as Know Your Customer (KYC). It is a measure to comply with various regulations and prevent fraud, money laundering and other illegal activities.

We use Onfido, a certified verification and authentication company, to verify your account. Here are some tips to ensure the verification process goes smoothly:

  • Take a clear picture of your identity document, where every single detail is readable without any blur

  • Take the photos somewhere brightly lit

  • Turn flash off to avoid glare on your documents

  • Make sure the details on your Trine account match the details on your legal document

  • Do not take a picture of a picture
