How Trine handles information and why we need to store certain data

The information Trine collects and why:

In order to enable you to invest, we need to collect certain information from you, for example, name, address, date of birth, and proof of identity. In addition to this, we collect information to improve your experience when you use Trine and to make the service even better. Examples of this are:

  • How you use the website

  • Conversations with us or surveys you complete

  • Investments you have made and information you post or upload on your Trine account

We also need to share certain information with borrowers and selected partners we use to operate the service. This is necessary in order for you to be able to make investments. We use these services:

How long will Trine store my data?

As a financial institution, Trine is obligated under anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations to retain information about you and your Trine transactions for 10 years. You can of course access your personal information at all times, change any incorrect information, and ask us to remove information from our database.

Trine handles sensitive data and information in compliance with applicable data protection laws, such as GDPR, and in accordance with the Payment Services Act (2010:751).

You can find our Privacy Policy here. If you have a formal complaint about our service please fill out our Crowdfunding complaints form (1).pdf and send an email to complaints@trine.com.

You are further entitled to make a complaint about us or the way we have processed your personal information to the data protection supervisory authority in your home country. In Sweden, the protection authority is the Swedish Data Protection Agency.

Cookies
